In Ohio there is a push to get a referendum on the ballot to overturn the marriage amendment that has been in place since 2004.

Attorney General Mike Dewine has certified the petition for the measure that would repeal the existing ban on same-sex marriage.

But the effort still faces an uphill climb.

There has been confusion about which groups support the effort but it seems the grassroots are all for it. Why Marriage Matters Alabama will follow this and try to keep this page updated if any major developments occur.
