In Washington marriage equality became law when Governor Gregoire signed the bill that legalized marriage for same-sex couples on February 13, 2012. The law will take effect on June 7, 2012, unless by June 6 opponents collect 120,577 signatures needed to take the measure to a state-wide voter referendum, according to Equal Rights Washington.

Hopefully, in June we will move Washington’s page into the “Want to marry?” group.
